Target groups which the organization works with:

The LGBTI Support Center is a separate program of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights opened in 2012. The LGBTI Support Center’s mission is empowerment of the LGBTI community for self-advocacy, as well as altering the legal and social status of LGBTI people in the Republic of Macedonia. The center realizes its mission through the following programs: Representation and lobbying Program, Community Program, Program for integrated public relations, Safe House – shelter center for LGBTI victims of violence and cultural-social center ‘Komitet’. The target group which the LBGTI support center works with is LGBTI people.

Assistance and services the organization offers

Free legal aid, free psychological aid and cousnelling, strategic representation, legislative monitoring, raising of public awareness, education and expanding LGBTI people’s capacities on self-advocacy, providing safe space for socialization and creation, supporting initiatives in the field of queer culture/art and promotion of young queer artists, supporting representation initiatives, taking care after LGBTI people who were victims of violence and/or are at risk of homelessness in the shelter center Safe House.

Office hours

The Support LGBTI Center operates every day from 9 am to 5 pm

The Shelter center Safe House operates 24/7.
